It All Started With This Picture...

When our son Riley turned one, we had a family photoshoot with our talented friend Connie.  We honestly didn't know what to expect, but were completely blown away by the images Connie took, especially this one.

Prior to that point, we documented Riley's first year solely with a small Casio point-and-shoot camera.  After the photoshoot, we knew our camera wasn't good enough anymore.  Connie recommended we buy our first DSLR, and thus our passion for photography was born.

The next two years was a total learning experience for both of us.  We bought books, read blogs, followed photographers on twitter, went on photo walks, etc. - anything to learn more about taking better pictures for ourselves.  That was our only concern at first, but eventually we wanted to do more with photography.  We remembered how surreal it was to have our photos taken by a professional, and decided we wanted to share that same feeling with other people.  That's why this site was created.
