This past Saturday I turned the big 3-0! Turning 30 makes me feel SO old so I decided I wanted to celebrate at a place where I always feel young at heart, Disneyland! My favorite thing about celebrating at Disneyland...you get a pin with your name on it and random people greet you happy birthday all day long..makes you feel all special inside :)
Usually my brain is always on the baby and I don't focus on taking pictures while at Disneyland, but since it was my birthday Desi went on baby duty and he let me take pictures.
They also give you these "Celebrating" pins for whoever is there celebrating with you. I tried to get a picture of it but Riley wouldn't have it and covered the pin, with an attitude. We were headed in the direction of his favorite ride, Thunder Mountain, and detoured to get me a pin so he wasn't too happy about that.
After "finally" riding Thunder Mountain, we waited to have lunch at Cafe Orleans.
My cousin-in-law and sister-in-law came to celebrate and have lunch with us.
Mmmmm....Pommes Frites with a Cajun Spice Remoulade!
And their 3 cheese Monte Cristo Sandwich is amazing!
My cousin-in-law Cheryl decided to bring her own dessert for lunch and brought enough for everyone. This pastry is from Cream Pan in Tustin. It was super delicious!
Riley has been bugging me about being able to throw coins into the pond so he could make a wish. I found some pennies in my purse and let him go to town.
Merlin's Owl, also known as Archimedes, from one of my favorite animated movies, The Sword In The Stone.
Riley chowin' down on his ice cream sandwich. The ice cream from the carts are super frozen which is great for Riley because he usually will talk and talk and by the time he's done talking..ice cream's all melted!
A day at Disneyland is not complete without Dole whip!!!
On our way out we stopped at one of the Main Street shops and Riley found these old machines that melt down pennies and stamp a logo onto them. I remember always getting these as a child whenever I went to Disneyland with my parents. Riley loved it.
There's nothing more I could ask for than to be with my family and friends on my birthday. Being at Disneyland was just a plus.
